This 2 stringed necklace, custom made by hand with silver beading wire and small blue and clear round beads. Also with seafoam green seaglass and white seaglass. There are small silver squares and flouted shaped beads.

Eastern Rhode Island 4-H fair

My Beach Designs will be exhibiting at the 4-H on July 18 and 19th from 9 - 5.

Last year was a huge success and a ton of fun!

Ashley's sterling silver earrings, bracelets and necklaces will be available at very affordable prices.

She will also be assisting those interested in learning to make their own creations at our "Do It Yourself" table were the materials to make your own sea glass necklace will be available.

The newest kit is a sliced shell necklace kit. Authentic sliced shells modern similiar to those pictured will be included in the kit along with the instructions and materials providing the crafter with the inspiration to create a unique jewelery piece of their own.

To answer the repeated question of:

"Where do you get your glass?"

Ashley spends countless hours with her family and friends walking the beaches of Aquidneck Island and other parts of New England collecting each and every piece of glass that goes into the kits.

Each piece of glass was created by "Mother Nature" in the salt waters of the Atlantic Ocean and inlets such as Sakonnet River or Narragansett Bay. We do not alter the pieces of glass we pick up. We do not tumble our glass to finish Mother Nature's process and we do not use tumbled craft glass. All of our glass is authentic beach glass.

Our authentic beach glass pieces started out as discarded glass bottles and jars that were broken up by the waves and rocks, then tumbled and smoothed by the water and sand, creating small pieces of smooth, frosted glass gems.

My Beach Designs of Portsmouth, RI has opened for business and shipped it first orders to retail business' in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Products ready for shipping are My Beach Glass Necklace Kits and My Shark's Tooth Necklace Kits and arrowhead necklace kits which are all "Do It Yourself" kits.

These kits were developed by Ashley, an inspiring entrepreneur who is just twelve years old. She created the kits as a means to teach others how to create unique pieces of jewelry from some of the earth's treasures including the sea glass, shark's teeth, arrowheads and shells. These kits are designed to provide the basic materials, instructions and inspiration for the crafter.
